Want to dance the night away, or just have a relaxed beer? Here, we tell you about the best places.
Vienna is decidedly not one of the easiest places to discover in terms of nightlife and bars - even the Lonely Planet doesn't, judged by Viennese standards, know about the good places. Which is why we've worked hard on putting together all the information about the best bars, pubs and clubs in town for you!
This page is still under construction. If you want to find out more about one of the places, or if the address etc is still missing, copying the name of the location into Google and adding "wien" should provide you with helpful details!
As for parties, checking out www.events.at and www.heimfest.at usually gives on a good idea of the up-coming venues in Vienna.

The notorious “Bermuda Triangle” area close to Schwedenplatz (U1/U4) offers a wide range of bars with cheap drinks and teenage crowds. Infamous.

Clubs
NB: By stylish, we mostly mean clubs where you'd have to worry 'bout wearing nice shoes or clothes.

Supposedly, 'Babenberger Passage' is THE most popular club among WU students. Admittedly, it is the kind of posh and fancy place that business students often feel home at. The music is mostly good house, and the entrance fee was 13 EUR last time we checked.

A Viennese institution. Don’t miss out on London Calling nights! They take place on Wednesdays and Fridays, and the music is indie rock.
Also widely popular in the warm seasons: Flex Café, the terrace outside. (But don’t forget to make it into the actual club ;-)

Club Fluc is the preferred local nightspot of the young, liberal, artsy, and socially conscious in Vienna. Postmodern, stimulating performances play nearly every night of the week and feature local and internationally recognized DJs. Mostly electronic music.
